IAFF Local 2612 represents the 107 men and women employed as professional firefighters by Sedgwick County Fire District #1 and was originally established in 1978.

     The Fire Department covers approximately 631 square miles of Sedgwick County and provides Fire Suppression, Rescue, and EMS services to a resident population of roughly 85,000 people. 

Crews from the department's stations responded to over 5,439 alarms last year.
